The Baltimore Sun website wins Best of Show

Six divisions were represented in MDDC’s 2020 Website of General Excellence award. This award is based on a news organization website’s social media and engagement, local news coverage, navigation and design, multi-media/data visualization and mobile responsive design.

The entries were judged by MDDC Press Foundation Board members. The judges were impressed by the caliber of the applicants and noted that over the past few years, contestants have integrated and embraced a wide range of storytelling techniques and platforms to illuminate topic of community interest.  The judges awarded a first place prize in each division, and then selected a Best of Show award for the category.

The judges awarded the Best of Show to The Baltimore Sun, citing its stellar design, multi-media elements, and local focus.
