W. Curtis Riddle

W. Curtis Riddle was born in 1950 and graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1972 with a degree in journalism. Among other positions, he was a reporter and editorial writer for The Courier-Journal in Louisville, KY before moving east in 1976.

Riddle worked a number of positions at The Baltimore Sun, including multiple reporting assignments and editor positions. He started his career with Gannett in 1982:

  • Managing Editor, The Cincinnati Enquirer – 1985 to 1987
  • Deputy Managing Editor/Sports, USA Today, Arlington, VA, – 1982 to 1985

Riddle was awarded Gannett’s Manager of the Year in 1992 and 1993.
