The Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association, comprised of AP member television and radio stationsin Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C., is offering a $3000 scholarship toa student pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism or a related field.Students must be enrolled full-time in undergraduate studies at a college or university inMaryland, Delaware or the District of Columbia, or be a resident of Maryland, Delaware or the District of Columbia.
Who’s eligible: Students with a major in broadcast journalism, journalism, mass communications, digital media or telecommunications. Students from other majors, who are working toward careers in journalism-related fields and have demonstrated their intention with internships, jobs and/or involvement in extra-curricular journalism-related fields.
The CAPBA Scholarship Committee will select one student from among all qualified applications received by the deadline:midnight on Friday, April 7, 2023.
